Categories: General News

UNC Charlotte’s new chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, Theta of North Carolina, was officially installed on the afternoon of April 20, 2022.

The ceremony, at the UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, will be presided over by Frederick Lawrence, the Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and by Dr. Peter Quimby, Head of School at the Governor’s Academy in Byfield, Mass., who is currently president of Phi Beta Kappa.

We are proud to be inducting both our first class of Phi Beta Kappa students, and also 11 prominent Charlotteans whose support for the university, as well as their leadership in the broader community, has contributed to its growth, its character, and its success.
